The Orochi is Razer’s notebook gaming mouse. It has a moderate price point and can switch from 2000 DPI while wireless to 8200 DPI while plugged in. The mouse only comes with a three-foot cord though, so a notebook is probably the best thing to use it with. The Orochi is not powered by a rechargeable pack, but instead by two AA batteries. This may be nice for some gamers, although you can quickly burn through batteries. This mouse is similar to the Deathadder but has a higher DPI while plugged in and two extra programmable buttons. If you are already interested in purchasing the Orochi, you can click here to find it on Amazon.
Speed and Accuracy
While plugged in, the Orochi has DPI that is almost as high as other high-end gaming mice. When unplugged, however, the DPI dips to 2000. This is still much higher than a standard mouse, and actually beats the Logitech MX 518, but is pretty low for a gaming mouse. The added convenience of being able to play at a high DPI comes at the cost of being plugged in. The Orochi utilizes Bluetooth 4.0 for its wireless connection. This mouse also features on-the-fly sensitivity changes. One thing to note is that the Orochi has an 8ms response time while going wireless, but this switches to 1ms when plugged in.
Apart from being a dual wireless/wired gaming mouse, the Orochi has some other cool features. One that sets it above the Deathadder is the addition of two more programmable buttons. This puts the total number of buttons on the Orochi to seven – the standard left, middle, right, and four additional. The mouse features a number of small features inherent in most Razer mice like a gold-plated USB connector and braided cord. This mouse also has onboard memory to save settings and an ambidextrous design.

The Deathadder is the budget gaming mouse from Razer. This mouse uses an infrared engine which is less powerful than other Razer mice which are powered by a laser engine, but at 3500 DPI, this mouse blows away the average user’s sensitivity. It also houses 5 programmable buttons (your standard left, middle, and right – along with two on the left side). The mouse also has a solid and pretty comfortable construction. This mouse is much better than your standard mouse, and for the price, I would recommend the Deathadder to anyone. Speed and Accuracy
The Deathadder has a 3500 DPI infrared engine, which is much higher than the standard 800 you would find in a normal mouse. This is also almost twice as sensitive as the Logitech MX 518. Just like most other gaming mice, you can change the sensitivity on the fly. The Deathadder also claims to have a 1ms response time compared to the standard gaming mouse’s 8ms. For a cheaper mouse, the DPI on this guy is very high.
The Deathadder also has many minor features, some of which are notable. As mentioned before, there are 5 programmable buttons, but realistically you will only program the two on the left side of the mouse. The feet are made of Teflon, which promotes easy movement and low noise. The scroll wheel moves click-by-click and has 24 unique positions. This translates into accurate scrolling for things such as weapons switching. Some of the other features of the mouse include a braided cable and a gold-plated USB. It’s hard to know how much these actually help, but any advantage can make a difference in competitive gaming. The design is ergonomic and kind of different, but it’s similar to most razer products and once you get used to it you probably won’t go back.

The Logitech G700 Wireless Gaming Mouse debuts a laser sensor with 5700 DPI that was specifically designed for gamers to give you maximum control for any style player. The major features include 13 unique textured programmable buttons with integrated macro functionality. Wireless capabilities allow this mouse to transmit 1,000 times per second eliminating any wireless lag or sluggishness. The battery is rechargeable and the mouse comes standard with a connectivity cable for charging and programming. Each box comes standard with the mouse, wireless receiver, cable, documentation, and a three-year warranty.
This is by far my favorite and highest recommended mouse and it’s hard to pick which feature stands out the most. Everything about the Logitech G700 exceeds its predecessors and competition. I have to start somewhere so let’s talk about the feel and design of the gaming mouse. It fits perfectly into the contour of your hand and sticks with you making it feel like one unit, not just pushing something around on the desk. The buttons are smooth and tight giving a very responsive feel to the input you give it.
There are no buttons that are awkwardly positioned and get in the way. The bottom of the mouse glides great on the quality pad and the 5700 DPI laser sensor gives you the utmost control any mouse could offer. The G700 did wireless in the best way possible. For the majority of the time, you will have complete freedom and when you need to charge or run wired for security it is right there for you switching seamlessly when it is plugged in. Macro functionality is not very often found in a mouse like this so you can set up different profiles depending on the game you are playing or for testing different options. The flexibility that this provides is unparalleled.
The ROCCAT Kone AIMO Gaming Mouse boasts professional-level responsiveness with advanced software capabilities. This prestigious blend of style and execution takes each of the most valuable features found across all mice to the next level. The featured specifications include 8 buttons in the tested and proven Kone design with a quick clip weighting system and a 16, 000DPI Roccat owl-eye Optical sensor. Combining the latest advancements in hardware with programming capabilities embedded in the mouse this is a top choice among gamers.
Roccat may seem like a newcomer in some locations but has dominated the European nations and this mouse is a prime example of why. The ROCCAT Kone AIMO is simply a beautiful device with simplicity and perfection as the forerunner of its marketing. The curves and angles are sleek as a sports car while ergonomically conforming to the contours of your hand. An oversimplified weighting system allows for ease in honing down on which configuration is ideal for you. The 8 buttons are seamlessly integrated into the gaming mouse and feel like one cohesive unit.
Even the buttons feel futuristic as they are soft to the touch and click while never missing a beat. I absolutely love the sensation of interacting with this device, it just feels outstanding. Presentation isn’t the only qualification of this device, its functionality outperforms most competitors. The 16000 DPI R3 laser sensor leads the industry in precision and Roccat allows you to fine-tune its feedback in the software. Excellent macro customization is also available with enough profiles for a family of gamers thanks to the 600MB of onboard memory along with a 32bit processing device. Roccat didn’t stop here with their premiere gaming mouse, they included four LEDs with an endless number of color choices and display patterns.
It is obviously completely unnecessary but insanely awesome. The only qualm I have with this mouse in comparison to our top choice is its inability to go wireless. You will be tethered via USB but let’s be honest, what hardcore gamer wants to have to worry about having batteries in stock just to play a game.
The Razer Naga is the most popular name among many players. This Expert MMO Gaming Mouse features up to 5600DPI laser tracking with incredible precision up to 200 fps. There are 17 customization buttons with a unique thumb control layout with integration available for select games. The device is not wireless but boasts an ultra-fast 1ms response time wired interface.
Everyone loves a Naga giveaway and it is for good reason. This mouse is a classic in popular MMOs such as World of Warcraft and gives players an advantage over traditional mice. The laser sensor provides great cursor control and allows for unlimited profiles to set the device to your preference. It is tuned for quick response at 1000Hz providing lossless tracking up to 200 inches per second, nobody really needs this but why not. My favorite feature about the Naga is the additional buttons and the layout where your thumb sits which is unlike any other mouse. In most RPG games you will find yourself running out of keybinds or having to create a few crazy ones.
This mouse alleviates that problem and puts 19 keybinds comfortably at the tip of your thumb. The layout is simplistic and easy to bind and remember when you need to use that ability. World of Warcraft and other games offer integration with this mouse making the binding experience even smoother. I would highly recommend this mouse to the average MMO player to make your life much easier and possibly help you get better.
The design of this mouse is pretty good with a more round feel at the bottom allowing your palm to grab on nicely and sit comfortably for extended gaming binges. The only limitation to this mouse is that it is a wired device without wireless capability. I am a bit old school when it comes to wired devices so I still gave it a great rating because this limitation doesn’t mean too much to me. The quality and performance of the mouse is what matters the most and the Razer Naga excels in this category.
The Razer Naga 2014 MMO Gaming Mouse looks very similar but provides a much-enhanced feeling of the hand fitting on the mouse. It still maintains its industry-leading 12 button layout which is great for MMOs with feedback for the different inputs executed during gameplay. There is an additional feature that allows for left and right movement of the scroll wheel which is something useful for websites and gaming as well. The software boasts more customization to match your skills and the games you play with a simplified interface. Overall there are not enough changes and improvements in this mouse to make it worth spending the $70 to upgrade from a previous version so it is not going to rank as high as its predecessor.
On the previous versions of the Naga, it was noticeable that the buttons were in the way and could easily be clicked if you tried to move fast or your hand wasn’t positioned. There has been a significant overhaul of this aspect of the mouse with a great new feel and nothing getting in the way of fitting a wider variety of hands without the need for constant repositioning to gain access to all of the different functions that the mouse has to offer.
The best feature of this mouse is its capacity to integrate into your favorite MMO games and be configured to meet all of the different demands and abilities offered in a variety of games. With one of the most intuitive interfaces available in the industry, Razer has set the standard which is yet to be matched for ease of integration into your gaming rig. The grid has been upgraded to use mechanical switches prolonging the life of the product and offering an enhanced feel and responsiveness to your wishes. This mouse makes the perfect addition to any gamers arsenal to stay on top.
